We stayed at a grand hotel called the Gellert. Like most things in Hungary, it was very old, hence no aircon, which was fun at 35 degrees ! It did however have a fantastic spa. Again, very old, dating back to the early 1900s. The focal point of the spa was the tide pool, which was built with a wave machine. Apparently the first one in Europe. It did the trick after a day at the track! |

We arrived on the Friday and quickly aclimatised to the new surroundings. |

Just when you thought we'd only watched the racing and got drunk. We also soaked up some culture........ We did the full tourist thing on the Monday. Starting out with the Parliament building, then going to the Castle District on the hilltop on the Buda side. Finally ending up in the Heroes' square. |
