Yes, I know the first question...."Where's Bintan then ?" Bintan is a small island off the south-east coast of Singapore. It is only 45 minutes from Singapore via fast ferry.

We stayed at the Nirwana Gardens Resort for the weekend. The resort is set out around the main pool area, which lets out onto the beach. The beach is, well, I don't think I have to really say much !! These are my pictures, and before you say it, I didn't have to get everyone to move out of the way, or take it at 5.00am !! 

People kept throwing water on me and trying to roll me back into the water. Can't think why !

It was amazing. The South China Sea was warm and clear and was a pleasure to spend the day in. (Apart from the sunburn...I never learn !) There are many more beach pictures in the slideshow at the bottom of this page.

The swimming pool made it look like it was just a continuation of the sea. Can you spot where the pool ends and the sea starts ?!

Due to some overbooking disaster, we had to get upgraded free to a suite. Shame really !

We are going back to spend Christmas in Bintan. Only this time in a different resort, the Angsana. I can't wait (so maybe we'll sneak another weekend in before Christmas !)
